Born and raised in British Columbia, Alison Keery began her dance training in Highland and Ballet. In 2008 she moved to Toronto to continue her education at York University where she graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours in Dance Performance. Keery is a teacher, choreographer, performer and improviser in Toronto and BC. She has had the opportunity of working with renowned artists and organizations such as Dusk Dances, David Earle, Kajea d’Dance, Darryl Tracy, Jenny-Anne McCowan and Julia Sasso. She was a founding member of Lila Ensemble and has toured with them throughout Europe. Under the mentorship of Donna Krasnow, Keery has studied and is a fully ceritfied Limon Instructor and Conditioning with Imagery practitioner. By day she is a faculty member at George Brown College, by night she runs a theatre company called NonExistenTheatre.
